No matter how cute the rodent in question may or may not be, Groundhog's Day is not comforting. Hell, just look at what they said about it in the film:
"I'll give you a winter prediction: It's gonna be cold, it's gonna be grey, and it's gonna last you for the rest of your life."
"This is one time where television really fails to capture the true excitement of a large squirrel predicting the weather."
"There is no way this winter is ever going to end, as long as this groundhog keeps seeing his shadow. I don't see any other way out. He's got to be stopped. And I have to stop him."
Whatever happened to Possum Day anyhow?
(Truth be told I like winter; it's one of my top 4 favorite seasons of all time.)
