Two More Have Fallen

"Former communist states Bulgaria and Romania have celebrated their New Year's accession to the European Union even as new EU president Germany warned that painful reforms were still needed."

On New Years Eve amateur astronomers photographed the following as it appeared over Eastern Europe.

Bulgaria & Romania thought they were being advised by Picard but it turned out to be Locutus. What they really needed was a Kirk. (Here's an entire list of reasons why Kirk would have been preferable as an advisor in these matters). But now they damage is done & they've been assimilated joined the collective. Shame, as I always had some hope for those two countries especially after they got the Marxian monkey off their back.

Ambrose Bierce once said "The great majority of people, would like either less corruption; or more of a chance to participate in it"... that's what EU membership is, more of a chance to participate in the corruption; specifically the transfer of money and soverignty from productive nations, to unproductive poorly governed ones.

All the EU is an attept to marginalize the United States whether it be economic, military, or diplomatic. It is also a great way to force membership of Easten Europeans by means of economic extortion. Sort of what Vadlimer Putan it trying, but with better success.
