An elderly lady held two burglars at gunpoint until the cops could arrive to take them away (scroll down). They took them away, but they also absconded with the lady's pistol. Seems fräulein's paperverk vas not in oar-der it wasn't properly registered.
"Resident Jessie Bower, 68, had seen two males on her back lot and confronted them with a pistol.
Bower, who is not in good health, held the two intruders at gunpoint until deputies arrived, Wood said.
Joshua Holman, 23, and an unidentified 17-year-old boy were arrested on suspicion of burglary and conspiracy.
Deputies seized Bower's gun, which was not properly registered, but did not cite her, Wood said."
The cops in Cali didn't arrest the miscreants because theft is morally wrong in the eyes of the state; they arested them because they were intruding on the cops' turf. Capone never had it so good.
