Just A Girl

No Doubt has always been a favorite band of mine. This isn't my favorite tune of theirs but it's cute & catchy & most importantly title-appropriate for this post. Plus it was the first single to really get any attention for the band. Here's the vid. & here are the lyrics.

The Smallest Minority has a post up entitled The Changing Face of the Shooting Sports & if you mosey on over to Heartless Libertarian's digs you'll find a nice little photo essay entitled Christmas Gun Pr0n Cheesecake. Cruising by Annika's Journal & Poetry you'll note a category devoted to her exploits as a relatively new shooter. Then there are the lady gun bloggers such as (but not limited to) The Bitch Girls, The Liberty Zone, The Ten Ring, View From The Porch & TFS Magnum to name a few. & in my post A.R.T. For The U.N. you'll note a that (not counting the High Power match photos) about half the people I've been shooting with are women. So I'd say The Smallest Minority is onto something. Women are still a minority in the shooting sports, but a growing one & that's a very cool thing. Now if they'd just come out with a book on how a lady can outshoot a guy without permanently damaging his ego...

Um, it's his ego. Methinks the problem ought not be hers to solve?

Try to make one little lame joke a few times & suddenly someone goes all 'Spock" on me :P

Truth be told I don't have any problems with being outshot by women even though it's happened quite a few times. It just seems like it's almost funny to joke about.

Course I could retort that if she expects him to lug the ammo to & fro then it should be considered at least a joint problem. :) But I doubt it'd be that persuasive an argument. Just perhaps an amusing one.

Besides, being a married man I'm sure you understand the basic principle of preemptive problem solving. It may be his problem but she's going to have to deal with the effects so it's in her interest to do as much bud nipping as possible. Is it fair? Not a damn bit, but little in life actually is.
