Going through the referral logs last night I found a visit from Shanghai. It was directed here from a Google search for "gun ownership advocacy" (or something similar - I should have saved the log entry).
It's not much but at least one person in China seems to have the right idea. Anyone have any idea if there is any sort of pro-RKBA movement in China? My guess would be that it'd be small & underground if it exists at all but it'd be interesting if there was one.
Posted by Publicola at October 23, 2006 03:36 PM | TrackBackI get occasional visits from China too--just got one from Beijing the other day--I purposely have not posted a screen shot on the off chance that it may be someone seeking knowledge on liberty as opposed to a Chicom official--because if it is the former, it means he has found a way to bypass the filters. I don't want to give away any info about him that may help the tyrants identify him or close down the route he took to get here.
Posted by: David Codrea at October 23, 2006 06:47 PMIt's raining on the parade but using Tor I occasionally get exit points in China, which would look to your web server like a hit from China. And I read David's blog, too. Odds are if someone in China is circumventing the filters, it will be via a proxy outside of China and that's what will show in the logs. On the upside, if you are seeing hits from China, you are most likely not being filtered.
