Some days you find a really random fact that brings an unexpected smile to your face.
The No. 1 most-clicked article, by far, in 2005 was the March 1 story about the arrest of Annette "Flirty" Stevens, who was accused of having an illegal gun in her South 15th Street home and selling drugs. The story pointed out Stevens had been involved in the anti-gun-violence movement following the 2002 shooting death of her son. Her trial has been continued to Jan. 23, according to court records.Good. The more people who know about the hypocrite, the better. Posted by Bitter at January 3, 2006 07:25 AM | TrackBack
The story gained extra attention when the Drudge Report, a conservative news headline Web site that receives millions of visits a day, and pro-gun sites, such as the National Rifle Association, linked to sj-r.com.
The story logged nearly 200,000 views during March. The heavy rush on the story March 1 even caused slow loading of sj-r.com for a part of the day.
