Sounds

I was thinking about local bands & realized that I've seen some of the best entertainers in the world, but odds are you wouldn't catch them unless you were looking for them. So here area few of my recommendations:

Chris Cook - the kid can play.& sing. "Funky country" is how he describes it, but I've done gigs with the kid before & he's more versatile than that. (Here's a site with a few more of his tunes).

Stacey Allison. Babygirl sang. She's in south Florida so look for her down that way - you won't be disappointed.

Ntranze If you're ever in Myrtle Beach & wanna know where the party's at, Grady (the bas player/front man) knows.

Latitude Tom & Michelle will impress you as they entertain you.

If you're ever in Charlotte, NC on a Monday night the Double Door Inn is the most happening spot there is. On Monday they have Les Moore's Monday Night All Stars which is without doubt one of the finest R&B/Soul bands in the world.

Peace & Love is a damn fine funk/R&B band out of Charlotte, NC. But don't take my word for it - go to their "song list & demos" page & click on the MP3's they have up.

More into Blues? Then The Part Time Blues Band is what you need. Rusty Barkley fronts the group & he's one of the finest guitar pickers I've ever heard. They're out of Charlotte, NC as well. & they have some samples on MP# for you to check out - just click the "Listen" link on the sidebar of their home page.

Timberwolf travels between Myrtle Beach & Florida occassionally hitting the islands & Mexico. They're a great country band & Alex & Mary Lou are downright decent folks to chat with.
