In The Arms Of The Angels

One of the Angels of Bataan has fallen. That leaves an estimated 3 known to be alive out of 77 freed in the raid at Cabanatuan (where many American POW's were held after the Bataan Death March).

Elizabeth M. Norman wrote a book called We Band of Angels: The Untold Story of American Nurses Trapped on Bataan by the Japanese if you'd care to learn more about this seldom told part of history.

Someone on Youtube put together a vid dedicated to those who lost their lives on September the 11th of 2001. It features Sarah McLachlan's song "Angel". Although the song was written for a different event & the vid made for a different memorial I cannot think of a more appropriate tune to play for the late Mrs. Schmidt. Here's the vid
