Petition For Cory Maye

One is available here.

For background on Mr. Maye's circumstances look here. My posts on Mr. Maye can be found here.

It looks like a hearing to decide whether or not to give Mr. Maye a new trial will be held on February 27th. Still, take a look at the petition & sign if you're so inclined. Case law is great when it's on your side, but an unconditional pardon would be the quickest way to set Mr. Maye free.

I am not a death penalty opponenet, but I am a rational thinking individual when it comes to situations that don't make any sense, and from everything I have read both for and against Mr. Maye, it astounds me that this man was convicted for this, hell, if I was in his shoes I would have done the same for my family. I think this whole thing stinks and needs to be reviewed by the State of Mississippi, what he did was not a crime, he was defending his family! I am a white, conservative Republican that works for the Federal Government and I firmly believe that this man needs to be pardoned immediately. Regards to you Mr. Maye.
