Carnival of the Cordite Number 4 is up
Les Jones' Gun Links #35 - Military Surplus Edition is up. (Although despite the title I didn't see any gas operated .30 caliber service rifles. I'm sure that was merely an oversight on his part. :D )
& just when you thought the inadequate-for-combat-cartridge platforms were settled Michael Bane tells us of a new twist on an otherwise twisted idea - Remington's pump action poodle shooter. Which makes me wonder if no one in the firearms design field today ever took the time to ask themselves a simple question - WWJMBD? (What Would John Moses Browning Do?)
& I would be remiss if I didn't point out that Kim du Toit has posted part two of Hotties With Guns. Kinda makes ya wanna take a newbie to the range don't it? :D
Posted by Publicola at March 13, 2005 02:45 PMA pump action 5.56mm? Who are they kidding? Why would a police department buy that thing when they could buy real AR-15s or M-16s? Why would anyone except a teenager (who has $700!!) or a guy that wants EVERY rifle ever built for 5.56mm buy this thing?
I hate to disagree with you, but this isn't deserving of WWJMBD. This is more like just because you can build something doesn't mean it's a good idea.

But then, I know you know what John Garand would do.
